Positions

Our group is growing! We are currently looking for exceptional graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

Ph.D. Students

Students with outstanding academic track records and passion for computational research are encouraged to apply through Penn graduate admissions to MEAM and AMCS and indicate my name on the application.

You are expected to have taken following courses: engineering math cores (calculus, linear algebra, ODE/PDE), fluid dynamics (1~2 courses), solid mechanics, heat transfer. A course on numerical method is a big plus. Prior experience in computer programming (C++, Fortran) using the linux terminal is a plus but not required.

Current Penn M.S. Students

Current M.S. students in MEAM and AMCS are encouraged to contact me to explore potential independent study opportunities. Research assistantship with financial support may be considered if students demonstrate excellent research performance during two semesters of independent studies. Following courses are relevant preparation for research conducted in my group: ENM 510, ENM 520, ENM 540, MEAM 536, MEAM 538, MEAM 570.

Postdoctoral Scholars

Postdoc candidates are encouraged to send me their CV, research statement, and two relevant papers. Please note that openings for postdocs are highly dependent on funding constraints. Candidates who are underrepresented minorities in STEM are encouraged to apply through the Penn Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellowship program.
